Fee policy

One package. One service fee.

We charge a single service fee for the full path. We do not publish the number here — reach us and we will tell you. Legal fees, taxes, and government filings are paid by you. Typical ranges are listed below.

Single-price policy

We only charge for the work.

TCP Express provides process management. We do not pay legal fees, taxes, or government filings. You pay those directly. Our fee is a service fee — one package, same policy for every file.

Legal and government fees you pay yourself

These are not our service fee. You pay them to the state, CPUC, clinic, insurer, or airport. The numbers below are typical ranges — the agency or vendor sets the final charge.

  • LLC state filing

    You pay this

Fixed state fee when a new LLC is formed. You pay this directly to the Secretary of State.

    $75

    California Secretary of State

  • TCP license

    You pay this

CPUC TCP application fee. The amount changes with the permit type you file — A or P.

    $1,000–$1,500

Depends on A or P permit

  • Drug test

    You pay this

Paid at the collection site. The exact charge depends on the test center.

    $200–$250

    Varies by clinic

  • Commercial insurance

    You pay this

Highly variable by insurer and driver. Most companies take about $1,000–$1,200 as a down payment and split the rest into monthly installments.

    $4,500–$10,000

    Typical first-year premium

  • Airport permit

    You pay this

Every airport sets its own permit fee. We will tell you the amount for the airport you choose.

    Varies

    Set by each airport

Estimates only. Fees change. TCP Express does not collect or advance these payments.

What the service covers

These eight stages are the package. None can be removed.

  • California company

Form a new entity or use the company you already have — name, partners, and filings in the right order.

  • EIN

Federal employer identification so banks, insurance, and CPUC can recognize the business.

  • DMV Pull Notice & EPN

Employer Pull Notice enrollment so driver records stay compliant for commercial work.

  • Drug-test clinic

We point you to an accepted collection site so the test is not a last-minute surprise.

  • Insurance referral

Commercial coverage that actually meets TCP and Uber Black requirements — not a personal policy.

  • TCP permit

The CPUC TCP application, assembled with the documents collected in the earlier stages.

  • Uber Black account

We open and document the Uber Black account so the vehicle and company match.

  • Airport permit

Airport authority applications after TCP is in motion — LAX and other California airports as needed.

What you should know

We do not pay costs on your behalf

We do not advance or cover legal fees, taxes, or filings. You pay those. You pay us only for managing the process.

Legal fees and taxes are yours

LLC, TCP, clinic, insurance, and airport charges are paid by you — typical ranges are listed above. TCP Express is not a law firm and does not replace licensed legal, tax, or insurance advice.

The package is not à la carte

You cannot drop a stage. Company, EIN, Pull Notice, clinic, insurance referral, TCP, Uber, and airport stay together.
